USA vs. MEXICO

Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario will once again be the location of an Arena Soccer International Game at 7:35pm p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 featuring the National Arena Soccer Teams of USA and Mexico, which will be hosted by the Ontario Fury.

This game will be the second of a series of International games planned at Citizens Business Bank Arena during the Fury offseason this summer. Most recently Guatemala faced the Fury on April 20, 2018 in which Ontario won 6-1 in front of 3,951 in attendance.

“The Fury continue to lead the way in hosting these exhibition games to not only help grow the sport but to give our great Fury fans more exciting Arena Soccer to watch during the offseason” said Fury president Bernie Lilavois who also serves as GM of Team USA. “With the rivalry we’ve built with Mexico over the past several years in Arena Soccer, this matchup never gets old.  During the last game here a few weeks ago against Guatemala, many fans wanted to know when Mexico or USA were coming again to Ontario. Well, we did one better and we’re bringing both!”

Rosters for the game will be announced in the coming weeks. The Mexico team recently competed in the 2017 WMF World Cup this past October in Tunisia and knocked USA out of the tournament in the Quarterfinal round.  Both USA and Mexico will be on a short California Tour in preparations for the 2018 Pan American Minifootball Championships in Guatemala June 7-13, 2018.
