5th Annual Ontario 5K Reindeer Run and Rudolph's Dash

Come Run With The Reindeer!

The City of Ontario is proud to continue its sponsorship of the 5th Annual 5K Reindeer Run and Rudolph’s Dash. The race, formerly known as the “Fun Run” was created over 13 years ago by the Ontario Recreation and Community Services Department. Since then, the race has evolved into a community and family event with over 1,300 participants and growing! The City of Ontario has joined efforts with the Ontario-Montclair Promise Scholars, an award winning program designed to assist Ontario-Montclair youth by helping to prepare them in their journey towards a college education. All proceeds from the race will be donated to their program and the Youth Empowerment Scholarship (YES), which gives the opportunity for children from low income families the ability to participate in Recreation programs and classes.

The 5K Reindeer Run will begin and end at the Citizens Business Bank Arena and continue throughout the City in a scenic route near the Ontario Mills Mall. A pancake breakfast, donated by Andy’s Burgers in Ontario, will be available for $4.00 starting at 8:30AM. All proceeds will be donated to Promise Scholars.

The family-friendly Rudolph’s Dash will begin at the Start/Finish line of the 5K and end in the Rudolph’s Roundup children’s area. Kids can run or walk this shorter course, or families may participate together. Rudolph’s Dash is geared for younger kids, moms or dads with their strollers, or anyone that wants to join the race on a smaller scale!

After the race, spend time with us in our Rudolph’s Round-up area where you can visit local businesses and race sponsors or have the kids participate in our exercise activities and craft booths. There will be plenty of activities for the whole family! Come join the fun!
